David Attenborough Natural curiosities & New beat news
Here I'm making factual production, things that people talk about and its factual information.
On BBC iPlayer they show David Attenborough talking about the facts of bears like polar bears and grizzly bears and how they mated to create a hybrid of the 2 and then begins to present facts of their habitats and lifestyle .

in this documentary that talk and follow about sickle cell and it says '' We follow nurse and sickle cell patient, Gildé Nsianguana as she explores why there is distrust between some patients and medical staff. Some in the sickle cell community feel that lack of knowledge and even systemic racism have led to devastating outcomes, including death.''

Global iPlayer -LBC NEWS
On Global IPLAYER on LBC news they are talking about all the war in Ukraine and how masco is invading them and then the news goes on to say everyone is supporting Putin and how preying yang may supply Russia with technology and weapons.

Web based moving image - documentaries
Platforms like BBC IPLAYER has a lot of documentaries for example this murder trial was interesting.

This is a documentary about climate change and the effect it has, its called ''troubled waters'' and is shown on top documentary films website

Web based audio factual programming - podcasts
Social media platforms such as Spotify have and do podcasts / Youtube also does podcasts although it isn't as popular as other social media platforms

Task 2
Codes&conventions
These are the points that define factual programming-
Presentation of facts / versions of reality through realism - the way facts may be shown on screen could be recorded things like dash cams or CCTV.
Dramatization - A dramatization is the creation of a dramatic performance of material depicting real or fictional events. Dramatization may occur in any media, and can play a role in education and the psychological development of children.
Narrativization - A subject matter expert sheds light on the concept of narrativisation with suitable examples in a simple and easy-to-understand way.

Presenter-led : presenter-led documentaries where a person presents the story to camera. The presenter could be the filmmaker themselves, a journalist, actor, media personality or an expert that is knowledgeable in a particular area.
Use of experts/witness - an expert means a pro in the specific category of the conversation, a person who is very knowledgeable about or skilful in a particular area.
Use of interviews - The people that would normally be taking part in interviews are people applying for stuff for example applying for a job or a school the people taking part are the interviewer and the interviewee
Use actual footage - some sources that can capture actual footage is a dash-cam or CCTV
Use of archive footage - Archive footage can be useful in dramas to set the time and location of a film set in the past. We can go online to find them
Purposes of factual genres - Factual texts inform, instruct or persuade by giving facts and information. Literary texts entertain or elicit an emotional response by using language to create mental images.

Logs
Pre-Production
For my location recce I had a lot of different places in my film and just making a location recce helped to plan out all the places I had and to remind me of where ii need to go. by doing a location recee it ensures that the chosen location is suitable for my project and any necessary adjustments can be made ahead of time
Script writing helped me in pre production because it laid out the foundation for my project, it also helps me craft compelling stories, develop engaging characters and plan out written dialogue and scenes. A well written script serves as a blueprint for my production, guiding the directors, actors and the crew throughout the entire process
FINAL VIDEO
Equipment booking was useful to me because it reminds me of all the equipment I need and make sure I have the needed things for example, lighting, cameras, audio
A risk assessment is very useful and was very helpful to me as it helped me outline things that may happen during filming and helped me to prevent it and it helps me address the risk before hand
A shot list helps me plan specific shots that want to capture for my project. it allows me to see the sequence and composition of each shot
Storyboard

The story board is useful in pre production because it visually maps out the entire project, making it easier to plan to communicate ideas with a team if u have one its like a blueprint for the final product
A shooting schedule is useful and helped me because it helped me to organise and plan logistics of my shoot. it outlined the specific dates, times, and location for each scene
A sound log was very useful as it helps me keep track if what sounds I will include in my video for example soon effects or music that. may use it can show or remind me on what type of dialogue I can be using
A video log sheet comes in handy by keeping track of footage you have shot and it helps to organise and categorise the footing making it easier to find specific shots during the editing process
